On Tuesday, October 15, 2019, Mayor Ivo Žinić attended the opening conference of the project "Sustainable Regional Development by Including Natural Heritage through the Establishment of the Natura SMŽ Educational Presentation Center" at the Korablja Tišinić picnic area in Taborište near Petrinja.
The project, implemented with the partnership of the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Natural Values, is implemented by the County of Sisak-Moslavina, worth a little less than HRK 18 million. The major part, as a promotion of natural heritage, is covered by European Union support from the European Regional Development Fund of HRK 14.5 million, and it has received a maximum amount of HRK 2 million from the Ministry of Regional Development, so at this moment, what is the County concerns, it costs HRK 500,000.
The Natura SMŽ Educational and Presentation Center will be located in the former administrative building of the New Hospital in Petrinja.
