The County of Sisak-Moslavina is implementing the Natura SMŽ project - an educational and presentation center that should be completed by September 2020. The initial conference of this project was held today.

This is a very valuable project that we would not have been able to realize without EU funds, the Sisak-Moslavina County Mayor reminded, as it is worth HRK 17 million.
The Moslavina part is a little more developed, the Mayor reminds, it also includes the Moslavina Mountain and the Lonjsko Polje Nature Park, and this area is managed by our Public Institution.
Let's add how the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Natural Values of Sisak-Moslavina County manages nine protected areas and 19 areas of the NATURA 2000 ecological network.
Natura 2000 is the European Union's ecological network, made up of the most important conservation areas for species and habitat types, and covers almost 20 percent of the EU's territory, making it the largest conservation area in the world.
