The NATURA SMŽ Center is a place of interesting learning in which students acquire new knowledge through observation and practical work. The theme of our educational program "Builders in the animal world", developed for 3 age groups, covering elementary and secondary school. Each topic is pedagogically addressed and aligned with the school curriculum and the age of the children. This way of learning about nature around us contributes to a better understanding of the connection between man and nature and its impact on nature, and thus on nature conservation. In addition to targeted education, these programs allow for sensitization and greater awareness of children in nature conservation.
We learn where anyone lives, we recognize our "neighbors" animals who make their homes with humans. Interesting topics are learning about how we learned from animals and how we applied this knowledge in construction and technology. Programs are planned for 60-90 minutes in groups of 20 such children, and workshops are conducted indoors and outdoors throughout the year. She learns through presentations, filling out worksheets, stacking, making her own works, but also using modern technologies.
Each educational program uses specific types of animals and their specificities as a link, thus learning about how ants organize their anthill, how bees make their apiary and what, where and where a swallow, an eagle, a reed or an owl make their nests and how many it is resistant to wind, rain or flood. Of course, an important place in our presentations is the beaver - the most famous builder, who with his dams influences the design of space. We will talk about what is good and what may not be best, and how to adapt and give everyone their place to live in a safe way.
